Le Tigrewas a feminist electro post-punkband formed in 1998 by Kathleen Hanna. Initially envisioned as a liveback up band for Hanna's solo project Julie Ruin, Le Tigremixed the politics and feminism of riot grrrlwith fun electronicsamples and lo-fibeats. Other members included and . JD joined Le Tigreas a full member when co-founder left the band before the Feminist Sweepstakesalbum. JD had previously worked with the band as the roadie and operator of the slide show created by for Le Tigre's live performances of the first record.
